Expired-Air Resuscitation the most effective way of reviving anyone whose breathing has been stopped by drowning, electric shock, gas, smothering or other causes. Although manual methods of resuscitation are effective in certain cases, “rescue breathing” gets more air into a patient's lungs faster, and so improves the chances of reviving him.
